“I´ll NEVER FORGET  WHERE I COME FROM”

ZUÑIGA

Total coincidence to meet this tattooed barber guy, his appearance caught me so much that I wanted to know him and his life story.

Zúñiga knows the barrio life from deep inside the core, of this lifestyle since his childhood, the battles for life and death has been a part of his life for many years.

The gang life in the barrio is a rough and unforgiving life, so he had to change his life.

It was now or never so he made a radical choice and decided to move to the States 10 years ago and started a totally different life and saw other values than the negative life that sadly are affected on the youth.

His motivation was:

That he wanted his daughter to grow up, and be proud of him, as a dad, as role model , instead of being afraid that one day he would end up in prison or dead.

He came back from America with a dream. He wanted to open a barber and tattoo shop, and with his skills as an artist in both haircuts and tattoing it happened.

And because of what he has become and changed in his life he has a lot of recognition from his friends, customers and especially his mom, girlfriend and me!

Danish guy living life in México. Traveler, adventurous, always ready to see the world. Since 2010 I´ve been traveling for more than 50 countries going to places I never thought I could be and it was here when my life became photography. My camera is my passport to know people, explore new cultures, different religions, lifestyles, and environments, having the opportunity to open myself to all kind of people feeling and sharing their happiness, pain, sadness, joy or frustration, in one phrase “to live in their own shoes”. My inspiration: life and people. My photography: black and white because that´s how I see the world, with shadows, lights and nuances that reflect details that can turn chaos into beauty. My mission is to share with you a story behind a photo, show you the world with my eyes and always tell the truth through my lense. TRUE PHOTOS, TRUE PEOPLE, TRUE LIFE MT.
